Tour Week 13... The Breakdown Blog

This week we have been practising deep breathing and finding our zen on the hard-shoulder of the M11 (when we should have been performing in Colchester), in a recovery vehicle (thanks to the RAC), and during venue power-cuts. Life on the road ain't always plain sailing - and we were pretty close to having a little breakdown of our own at one point.

However, we were rewarded with a beautifully warm audience in Maldon, Essex last night, and a very cute cottage on Mersea Island to rest our heads in - with some lovely beach walks for good measure.

Thankfully, along with the brilliant staff at Essex Libraries we have been able to re-schedule our Colchester Library show for January 29th at 7pm. Anyone who had already booked tickets can get them transferred to the new date. If you hadn't - go and buy them now!

Tonight we will be performing in Shenfield Library, Essex, and on Saturday we will be in Hale End Library, in North London.

Next week we're visiting Barton Le Clay in Bedfordshire, Histon in Cambridgeshire, and Exeter and South Brent in Devon.

Then we'll be gearing up for some serious driving (and hopefully no encounters with hard-shoulders) as we visit Norfolk, Thurrock, Cambridge, Cumbria, Rugby, Leeds and Bristol over February - here's hoping our van holds out for the rest of the tour!
